Seniors Knockout Champion for 2025

Congratulations to David Green defeating Mick Caruso 6&5 last Thursday in the Seniors Knockout final. Well done to our finalists and all competitors involved in matches throughout the season.
We look forward to the 2026 season.

Course Update – Temporary Hole and Access Changes
A Message from your Course Superintendent Andrew Anderson

Please note that from Monday 20th, the 4th green will be out of play to allow for upcoming works.
During this period, the hole will play as a short par 4 measuring approximately 275 metres. Members are reminded to exercise caution — if you are capable of reaching the green from the tee, please ensure the group ahead and any staff working nearby are clear before playing your shot.
Additionally, the 5th tee will be relocated to a temporary position at the front of the 5th fairway. The entire area surrounding the 4th green and 5th tee will be designated as an exclusion zone.
Only authorised personnel will be permitted within this area. Do not enter under any circumstances without prior approval from the Course Superintendent.

Amstel Cup Challenge — this Saturday

The annual Amstel Cup Challenge will be held this Saturday. The event is open to all Full 7-Day members with at least three months’ membership.

To take part, simply enter the Club competition of the day. The eligible player with the best overall score will be crowned the Amstel Cup winner.

Ranfurlie Junior Pennant Update

Royal Melbourne Defeated Ranfurlie 3.5 to 2.5 this past Sunday ending Ranfurlie hopes of defending the Victorian Junior Pennant Title.

A big thanks to all players, caddies and spectators. With an even bigger thank you going to Karl Schneider for managing the team throughout the season.

Senior Pennant – Round 4 at Settlers

Ranfurlie’s Ron Budge Scratch team fell just short, going down 2–5 to a very strong National GC side. Wins to Worrell Baptist (2&1) and Michael Caruso (2 up) — a terrific effort in his first game back from surgery. Narrow 1-down losses for Stephen McPherson, Kevin Forster, and Albert Gigl showed real resilience from the team in defeat.
In the John Philp Handicap, Ranfurlie also went down 2–5, with two matches halved. Surit Sethi lost a tight one 2&1, while our strong wins came from Won Gi Kang and David Iggo.

Ranfurlie next face Settlers Run at our home course on Friday - Please note limited AM times for social play for your members this day. We recommend taking advantage on playing at our partner courses on this date.

Friday 14th November - No AM Carts available

On Friday 14th November we will be hosting a Corporate Day from 11.30am.

Whilst there will be morning spots available for the Casual Competition, there will potentially be no Golf Carts available to hire.

This is important for our regular Cart Pass holders who wish to use a cart for golf on this day.

The Longest Day - Golf for a Great Cause Monday December 8th

We're Excited to announce that Ranfurlie will be taking part in the Longest Day - The ultimate challenge to raise funds for the Cancer Council.

The challenge is to complete four rounds of golf in one day — a true test of endurance, teamwork and determination — all while supporting cancer research and prevention.

It's a great way to spend a day on the course with mates, push yourself to the limit, and make a real difference in the fight against cancer. Registration is now open for members and their guests with guests paying the one 18-hole fee regardless of how many holes they play, and any Cart hire will be charged at $44 per 18 holes required.
