Ranfurlie Members Shine During Saturday CompetitionSaturday, 6 December, delivered one of the most extraordinary competition days in recent memory at Ranfurlie. A remarkable 35 players broke their handicap, showcasing both exceptional skill and the outstanding playing environment currently enjoyed by members. Even more impressively, 19 players recorded scores under 69, an achievement that speaks volumes about the quality of golf being played across the course. Leading the charge was Anil Prakash, who produced a superb round of 74, finishing an impressive nine strokes under his handicap. His performance secured the top honour for the day and set the tone for what was an exhilarating and memorable competition. These outstanding results are in no small part influenced by the excellent condition of the course, which is currently performing at the highest standard seen at Ranfurlie. The playing surfaces across all 18 holes are providing members with the ideal mix of firmness, consistency and fairness, enabling strategic, exciting and enjoyable golf for players of all abilities. The Club extends its sincere appreciation to our Course Maintenance Team, whose dedication and expertise have elevated course conditioning to new heights. Their ability to deliver such exceptional surfaces while simultaneously managing the major redevelopment works on the 4th hole is truly commendable. Despite facing the coldest and wettest November in Victorian history, the team has kept the project on track, with the 4th still scheduled to return to play ahead of the Club Championships. As we look ahead to a fantastic summer of golf, the Club celebrates the achievements of our members and the outstanding work of our staff. With the course in its best-ever condition, we look forward to many more great rounds and memorable moments at Ranfurlie. |
