Men's Foursomes Semi Finalists 

Congratulations to our Foursomes Championship Semi Finalists for 2025 with some sensational scoring in tough windy conditions. This Saturday will see the Semi Finals teeing off from 7am and the Final will be played in the afternoon. 

Special Mention to Rick Castricum and Matthew Rundle winning the daily net with a score of 67.5.

Members playing in the daily competition off the white tees are reminded for this event both the Semi Finals and the Final have right of way, so please let these groups through if they come up behind you. Good luck to all competitors in this Saturday's Semi Finals.

Course Update – Temporary Hole and Access Changes

A Message from your Course Superintendent Andrew Anderson

Please note that from this Monday 20th, the 4th green will be out of play to allow for upcoming works.

During this period, the hole will play as a short par 4 measuring approximately 275 metres. Members are reminded to exercise caution — if you are capable of reaching the green from the tee, please ensure the group ahead and any staff working nearby are clear before playing your shot.

Additionally, the 5th tee will be relocated to a temporary position at the front of the 5th fairway.

The entire area surrounding the 4th green and 5th tee will be designated as an exclusion zone.
Only authorised personnel will be permitted within this area. Do not enter under any circumstances without prior approval from the Course Superintendent.

Exciting News from Callaway!

Members can now book fitting sessions at the Callaway Performance Centre in Rowville through the Ranfurlie Pro Shop team at no charge to the member.

This is a fantastic opportunity if you’re considering a new set of clubs and a great alternative to waiting for our next Callaway fitting day.

Members are also reminded that our teaching professionals, Jack Cox and Ben Bunny, offer one complimentary Callaway or Titleist club fitting per calendar year (up to one hour) using the full range of heads and shafts available in our state-of-the-art Golf Academy fitting room.

Junior Pennant Update – Round 2

Match: Ranfurlie vs Southern Shearers 1 @ Ranfurlie

Result: Ranfurlie 4 – Spring Valley 2 

Ranfurlie Juniors chalked up their first win of the season last Sunday with an impressive 4–2 result over Southern Shearers 1.

Congratulations to all our team, with Jack Schneider and Charlie Chasemore winning (3&2), Andrew Hamilton's convincing win (4&2), and a massive win to Xavier Pace (6&5). Our attention now turns to this Sunday’s home match against Woodlands GC (Woody 1). 

We encourage members to come out and support our juniors, who will be teeing off from 12:45 pm.

Senior Pennant Round 2 – @ The National GC Gunnamatta Course

Strong wind and large undulating greens provided tricky playing conditions with results going narrowly the way of our opponents Woodlands.  Kevin Forster and Murray Rekdale secured wins in the 4½-2½ loss in the scratch event. While in the Handicap contest, Mick Ferris, David Loughnan and Mick Obrien were successful in the 4-3 loss.

The importance of keeping up with the group in front was evidently too much for one group who played one hole near the conclusion on an adjoining course before realising their error!

The Longest Day – Golf for a Great Cause - Monday December 8th

The Longest Day is an endurance golf challenge that raises vital funds for the Cancer Council. Participants take on 36, 54, or the full 72 holes in one day — testing their stamina, spirit, and love of the game — all in support of cancer research and prevention.

It’s a great way to spend a day on the course with mates, push yourself to the limit, and make a real difference in the fight against cancer. 

Registration is now open for members and their guests with guests paying the one 18 hole fee regardless of how many holes they play, and any Cart hire will be charged at $44 per 18 holes required.
