Anzac Day Trading Hours

Members are reminded that Ranfurlie Range will close early on Anzac Day, with last balls sold at 6:45pm.

ALCOHOL AVAILABLE AFTER MIDDAY

Due to liquor licensing, there is no service of alcohol available until Midday from the Ranfurlie Sports Bar, Members Lounge, Pro Shop and the entire Amstel Club venue.

Ranfurlie Pennant Final Round

From the Pennant Manager

Ranfurlie finished third in the final standings after the weekend's 5-2 loss to Churchill Waverley at Bacchus Marsh.

Missing the finals and promotion after winning five matches was understandably disappointing for all concerned. It was also unique statistically, as teams achieving five wins in the other five Victoria Pennant men's divisions will all go forward to a play-off final.

For the record, Sunday was Ranfurlie's first loss following nine consecutive wins stretched over last year and the current season. The final placings in the table this year could not have been much closer than the three individual contest wins that separated second and third place.

Confidence is high regarding our ability to rise above this season's finish and reach the play-offs next season. The players have already committed themselves to the task ahead, suggesting the recruitment of talented younger players be made a worthwhile priority.

My sincerest thanks go to each player, caddie and sponsors for their contributions and assistance throughout the season.

Dam Excavation Works

A message from Andrew Anderson

Dear Members,

We would like to inform you that the excavation of dams is scheduled to commence on April 29th. This initiative is being undertaken to ensure adequate drainage throughout the course.

The waste material from this operation will be transported to the left side of the 1st hole using two nine-tonne front-dump trucks. Our primary aim is to avoid causing any disruption to members during this process.

However, we would like to request that you exercise added caution around any earthmoving equipment present on the course. Your understanding and cooperation during this period are greatly appreciated.

Jack Ash Trophy - Sunday May 26th

The annual board event is on once again this Sunday May 26th, with tee times available off both tees from 12 Midday. Bookings for golf and dinner are available on a separate online timesheet.

The conditions of winning the Jack Ash have been changed to encourage all full members Gold, Silver and Bronze including age groups, Juniors and Corporates to have the opportunity of playing on a rare Sunday with no green fees, and enjoying a lovely dinner after golf at Amstel Club - Function Room 1. Lifestyle can participate by paying their normal green fee for golf and dinner but are ineligible to win the Jack Ash.

There will be a 2 Roast Meat selections for dinner 50/50 format followed by a dessert. Pricing will be Golf and Dinner is $35, and $30 for any partners coming for dinner only (Non Golf).

Bookings can be made from Friday 19th April with all payments paid in full by Friday 17th May.

Revised Conditions of Play

New Locker Update

Members please note new Lockers in 2 sizes large (displayed to the right), and small are coming soon, starting with the Women's lockers to be installed in the next couple of weeks. We ask our ladies to please start removing your items from the old lockers over the next week or so.

It has been decided there will be a Bond payable of $50 (either size) via Cash, Eftpos or Credit Card. This money will go to the Junior Foundation. On conclusion of locker use members will be refunded the total amount, pending that the locker is in the same condition as when it was hired, and no alterations have been made to the new locker.

To Reserve a locker please leave your details with the Pro Shop. Lockers will be booked until all reservations have been filled at which time a waiting list will be compiled thereafter.

Also please let the Pro Shop know if you would like to take home any of the old grey lockers at no charge as these will shortly be thrown out when the new ones are installed. You would need to arrange your own pickup of these old lockers.

PGA Scramble Event

Hurry only 1 Team left to Fill (Sunday May 19)

Members are reminded this popular event is reaching capacity. Registration will be at 8am for an 8:30am shotgun start.

When registering a team, please note the following:

You must have all individual Golflink Numbers and full names on hand
Members Price is $50, and $70 for guest
Early bird bookings will receive preference for starting holes closest to the clubhouse.

Members who are singles looking for a team or have only 2 or 3 members, please let the golf shop know and we will attempt to match you into groups as best we can.

Membership Subscriptions now Overdue

For those memberships that were due on Monday April 1^st, 2024, if you still have not paid, your subscription is now overdue and your booking and playing rights have been temporarily switched off.

If you did not receive a copy of invoice via email or in the mail, Renae in membership can quickly print you a copy. If you currently pay by monthly instalments your payment plan will rollover, so there is no action required from you.

All request for change must be in writing, so an email is best.

Member Benefits (Bay Golf Cards & Guest Passes) will be issued in May.

Please note: Payment via the online Payrix system incurs a small fee as they are a third-party provider, while if you pay at the Ranfurlie Venue at one of our tills there are no additional fees.

Such objections shall be considered by the Board, whose decision shall be final.

Please note members on Monthly direct debits, now have just 7 days after their payment defaults to fixup their missing payment before having their membership suspended. Members in this situation can reactivate their account at any time by paying either online, or at the Ranfurlie Pro Shop or Sports Bar tills.
