Ranfurlie Pennant Team Chalk Up Another Win!

Congratulations to our Ranfurlie Pennant team having another win! See manager Colin Morley's report below...

Ranfurlie's promising start to the 2024 Pennant season continued with an exciting 4-3 win against Bacchus Marsh at Werribee Park course on Sunday. After Peter Kane's 2-1 early win and with the side still needing to win the last three matches, Pat Lloyd staged a great come-back from 2 down to win his match at the 20th Hole. Mark Halas won his match at the 17th and captain Daniel Burnett sealed the result sinking a testing putt on the 18th to win his match 1up.

Ranfurlie sit joint second in the table lying one point behind leaders Berwick having played one match less under the reorganised format where home clubs receive a bye. These two sides meet next Sunday at Melton Valley.


Easter Trading Hours

On behalf of both Amstel Club and the Ranfurlie Golf Club, we wish everyone a safe and happy Easter period! Please refer to the below modified hours of operation which will be in place over the long weekend:

  • Friday 29th March (Good Friday): Members Competition from 7.30am. No alcohol served prior to 12 midday. Venue closes at 7.30pm - last balls on Range 7pm
  • Saturday 30th March (Easter Saturday): Venue closes at 7.30pm - last balls on Range 7pm
  • Sunday 31st March (Easter Sunday): Venue closes at 7.30pm - last balls on Range 7pm
  • Monday 1st April (Easter Monday): Entire venue closes at 7.30pm - last balls on Range 7pm

Membership Renewals

Subscription Invoices for 1 April 2024 renewals have now been sent to applicable Members.

If you currently pay by monthly instalments your payment plan will rollover, so there is no action required from you.

If you wish to change your membership in any way, please contact Renae memberadmin@ranfurlie.com.au or 9788 8276

All request for change must be in writing, so an email is best.

Member Benefits (Bay Golf Cards & Guest Passes) will be issued in May.

Summer Order of Merit and Eclectic Events Concluding Soon

As we near the end of the summer season of events, please see the below leaders and runners up at this stage.

  • Thursday Order of Merit leader Geoff Glen 2476pts followed by Barry Urmston on 2315pts.
  • Saturday Order of Merit leader Ben Shaw 1475pts followed by Josh Donohue on 1459pts.
  • Sunday Order of Merit leader Leigh Bomford 1752pts followed by Anthony Campbell on 1617pts.
  • Saturday Summer Eclectic Leader NET Mitch Smibert on 49.3net followed by Rowan Hendrickse on 49.6net.
  • Saturday Summer Eclectic Leader Gross Jamie Ricardo on 54 followed by Daniel Burnett on 55.

From April 1, 2024 all our Winter events will begin with all 2 Order of Merit competitions available by entering the Lot Competition to make your points count.

For Saturday eclectics, you are automatically entered in by paying the $5 club competition fee.

Please note members on Monthly direct debits, now have just 7 days after their payment defaults to fixup their missing payment before having their membership suspended. Members in this situation can reactivate their account at any time by paying either online, or at the Ranfurlie Pro Shop or Sports Bar tills.
