2024 Club Championship Finalists

Congratulations to the 2024 Club Championships finalists! Please see the match results below.

Best of luck to Jamie Ricardo vs Mark Halas next Saturday morning in the 36 Hole Final!

Members who are playing in the daily competition are reminded that the Club Championship Final is a Board Event. All players must give way if they come up behind you on the day. 

SATURDAY 2nd MARCH - CHAMPIONSHIP WINNERS PRESENTATION

Champion winners along with spectators are welcome to join us at 11am on Saturday March 2nd for the presentation, including photos of all this years Championship winners.

Mixed Foursomes Champions 

Congratulations to Kimberley Urmston & Malo Nati for winning this years Mixed Foursomes Championship with a 2 round gross score of 173! 

Coming in as runner up was Barb Backhoy and Buddha Harkness on 178.

MEMBERSHIP RENEWALS

If you wish to change membership categories or resign your membership.  These requests must me made in writing, so via email would be best.   Subscriptions Pricing for 2024/2025 will be available in next weeks Newsletter once ratified by the Board.

Driving Range Ball Pricing

Please be advised that effective Friday March 1st, the following driving range pricing will come in to effect:

  • 35 Balls (Small Bucket) - $9.20 MEMBERS  ($11.50 VISITORS)
  • 70 Balls (Medium Bucket) - $14.40 MEMBERS  ($18 VISITORS)
  • 105 Balls (Large Bucket) - $19.20 MEMBERS  ($24 VISITORS)

Members are reminded that this marginal increase in ball bucket pricing is the first price adjustment the club has made since the minor change in 2022.

We're proud to continue to boast what we believe is the best value driving range offering available anywhere in the South East - with plenty to get excited about in the weeks to come!

GPS Golf Cart Update

A recent update to the geofence relating to restricted areas of the golf course on review has found the command of stopping the cart, with a message to reverse out has been found to in some cases shutdown the golf cart completely.


We are also aware of a small number of members doing the wrong thing by reversing into areas that they shouldn't be driving into in order to get access to their ball.

Now when a cart user drives into a protected area, the reverse feature has been replaced and will now slow carts to 4mph along with a beeper and a message to return to Fairway or Cart path. The beeping will not stop until the cart is back on the fairway. This will hopefully avoid bad behavior and any future cart shutdowns. 


Members are reminded to not drive carts into the rough areas, teeing grounds or putting greens including the backs of greens).

Repeat offenders may face the disciplinary committee.

Upcoming Club Events at Ranfurlie

Members are reminded to note the following dates where course access will be limited. At these times ,we encourage members to utilize our reciprocal and partner course privileges. 

This Sunday 25th February - Ranfurlie Pennant Hosting - Limited Morning members competition field. 

There is currently a large waiting list for Sunday morning due to limited spots available, please remove your name from the timesheet if you do not intend on playing to allow other members spots on the timesheet.

Wednesday 28th February, 6th March  -  2nd & Final Round Women's Club Championships, Social play available from 12 Midday.

Drinks Cart Service Concludes Saturday March 2nd

Please note the Drinks Cart service will conclude on the first Saturday of March, before resuming once again next Summer. We hope members and guests have enjoyed making use of the service throughout the warmer months this year.

Driving Range Balls

Members are reminded the following signs have been displayed on the Range.

Please use own balls for putting or chipping on the practice chipping green. 

It is vitally important we retain a good supply of golf balls on the range and these balls are strictly not to leave the driving range area.

VALE

It is with deep regret the club notes the passing of long serving  Life Member Brian Batterham at the start of this week. Brian was due to turn the age of 100 on 29th February, 2024. 

Our condolences go to Brian's family, friends and fellow playing partners at this sad time.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday 29th February from 1pm at the Amstel Club, function Room 1,  with all members invited that knew Brian. Brian's son David also extends an invitation to anyone that wishes to say a few words on the day.

Such objections shall be considered by the Board, whose decision shall be final.

Please note members on Monthly direct debits, now have just 7 days after their payment defaults to fixup their missing payment before having their membership suspended. Members in this situation can reactivate their account at any time by paying either online, or at the Ranfurlie Pro Shop or Sports Bar tills.
