Members are reminded with the chance of some high temperatures similar to last Sunday, over the coming 6-8 weeks of the Golf Clubs current heat policy, which is found on the Ranfurlie Website.

The main takeaway is if the forecast at midday for the day prior to a daily competition is 38deg or hotter, that the afternoon competition for the next day is cancelled.

Members can still play in the afternoon, but there will only be a morning competition available. The golf club encourage all members to please be sun smart, and if you are susceptible to hot conditions to consider not playing that day.

Upcoming Club and Corporate events at Ranfurlie

Members are reminded to note the following dates where course access will be limited. At these times we encourage our members to utilize our reciprocal and partner course privilege's.

Friday 16th February - Morning Corporate Day, course closed until approximately 1pm.

Wednesday 21st February - 1st Rnd Women's Club Championships, Social play available from 12 Midday.

Sunday 25th February - Ranfurlie Pennant Hosting - Limited Morning members competition field.

Wednesday 28th February - 2nd Rnd Women's Club Championships, Social play available from 12 Midday.

MGI Lithium Battery Care

We at MGI take battery care and safety seriously. We strongly believe that people don't need to be worried or scared about lithium batteries, however they have to be equipped with the correct information on how best to care for their battery. We continue to update policies in line with best practice and educate our retailers however this is only one step in the process. We need you, our customers, to help educate the end consumers by ensuring your websites are up to date with the correct language and information on battery care.

We also ask that during the sales process, you ensure you and your staff spend time, informing your customer on the basics of battery care, and encourage them to read the manuals to ensure they care for their buggy and battery, to remain safe.

SUPERBOWL 2024

There is heaps of chatter around the club regarding the upcoming SUPER BOWL - CHIEFS VS 49ERS - ON OUR BIG SCREEN event next Monday!

Play kicks off at 10.30am so we suggest getting in early with our sports bar kitchen cooking up hot dogs, chips and our famous sports bar menu from 9.30am.

Giveaways and promotions running in our sports bar all day.

No bookings taken - first in best dressed.

Always a great event to watch with us! You never know you may just spot Taylor Swift on the big screen too :-)

Coaching Update - Bookings Now Available

A reminder that online bookings with both Jack & Ben are now available! Jack will be conducting private lessons as well as facilitating the majority of our clinics, as well as being involved with a host of other activities for the club.

Please note Ben Bunny's role as a sub-contractor remains unchanged and will continue to coach, mainly focusing on doing his private lessons on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays

February Fitting Days

It is with regret the club has been informed of the passing of long serving member Brendan McCusker, he was a much liked member to many at Ranfurlie Golf Club.

Our thoughts and wishes go out to his Family, Friends and fellow playing partners at Ranfurlie.

BUNKER RAKE RETURN POSITION - Bunker Etiquette

Members are reminder after raking their bunker shot, to please return the rake to the center of the bunker and rake faced down.

It is also a reminder to all members and their guests that on too many occasions late afternoon players are not raking bunkers after getting out, and sometimes leaving footprints up the faces. Please spare a thought for the competition the next day, and always rake your marks out before exiting the bunkers.

RANFURLIE APP - NOTIFICATIONS ON

With the new addition late last year of the Ranfurlie App which is free for Members to download, we encourage all members to download this application in either play store or the App store. During the year we will be sending out through this app relevant club and course information and encourage everyone to click yes to push notifications, so that you stay up to date will all the news.

Current Members may lodge a written objection to any application, addressed to the Golf Services Manager, Andrew Bourne abourne@ranfurlie.com.au

Such objections shall be considered by the Board, whose decision shall be final.

Please note members on Monthly direct debits, now have just 7 days after their payment defaults to fixup their missing payment before having their membership suspended. Members in this situation can reactivate their account at any time by paying either online, or at the Ranfurlie Pro Shop or Sports Bar tills.
