Important Announcement from the Captain
It is with much pleasure I would like to announce that we have appointed Mr Andrew Anderson as the Course Superintendent at Ranfurlie.
Andrew joins us from The Metropolitan Golf Club where he is currently the Assistant Course Superintendent.
In addition to Metropolitan, Andrew has worked at other outstanding courses like New South Wales GC and Bonnie Doon GC in Sydney. Additionally, Andrew has volunteered his time and expertise at prestigious overseas courses, including St Andrews (Old Course).
The club underwent an extensive application and interview process, where we spoke to some outstanding candidates.
Andrew stood out with his attention to detail, knowledge, work ethic, passion, and drive to succeed - all these qualities were prerequisites for the role.
I know Andrew is extremely honoured to be chosen as only the second Course Superintendent in Ranfurlie's history and we are equally honoured to have him steering us into the future.
With our Course Enhancement Program starting in 2024, we are now extremely well positioned to deliver these projects as well as being focussed on improving all facets of the course.
Andrew commences with us on December 27, and he had this to say to the membership,
"With great enthusiasm I'd like to introduce myself as the incoming Superintendent of Ranfurlie Golf Club.
Originally reigning from Brisbane, my career as a turf manager has afforded me some fantastic opportunities at a few of the country's best facilities, and garnering those experiences, I look forward to becoming a part of the team, club and family at Ranfurlie.
With each visit to Ranfurlie, my infatuation grows for the club and I look forward to not only meeting each and every one of you, but to amplify the fulfilment in being a member at Ranfurlie."
It is truly an exciting time for the club.
I would like to thank Neil Craig and all the AGCM team for all their fabulous work over 20 plus years. Neil officially finishes on the 31st of January, which will ensure a smooth handover to Andrew, and we wish him all the best for the future.
