We are getting close to Semi Finals with some tight results below with a land locked 4 teams separated only by percentage on 20 points.

Due to greens coring on September 12th, please note the final home and away rounds will be Round 8 on Saturday 26th August.

Greens Renovation this September

Members please note our bi-annual greens coring will begin on Tuesday 12th September. The course will be closed for both Tuesday and Wednesday 13th September. These works are vitally important for the ongoing health and performance of our putting greens. Further information to members on Greens Coring to be added in coming newsletters.

Driving Range Friday mornings open

We are very happy to report that the Driving Range condition has improved dramatically. As a result we are reopening the Range on Friday mornings to normal times from this week. 

Monday and Wednesday mornings will remain closed until 10am for maintenance.

Multi Tee Playing Report

Members would be interested to know of a report conducted recently on the Tuesday Multi Tee Trial competitions. The data was generated from January to the end of July 2023. The report shows that as a whole, members are sharing the experience of hitting off different colour tees. 

The heart of any fair golfing competition is a reliable handicap system that ensures a level playing field. The report indicates that our handicap system has performed remarkably well so far with this trial. It has effectively balanced the scores across different tee options, showcasing its ability to adapt and maintain equitable competition regardless of the chosen tee. We look forward to seeing further data in the coming months, as more and more members take up the option of hitting off different tees to normal on these Tuesday Multi Tee competition trials.

The following is a summary of the report:

53% chose Yellow Tees

34% chose White Tees

10% chose Black Tees

100% of Women that played chose the Red tees.

With the average best score of the day 41.6 Stableford Points off various different tees.

Wine Barrell 2nd Hand Ball Donations

Thankyou to all members that have being involved with donating their used golf balls so far, to the wine barrel at the Pro Shop. 

So far 20,500 balls have been collected which have transferred to funds for Junior and Beginner programs via golf initiatives run by the club.

It is terrific to know something that gathered dust in the bottom of the golf bag could be of so much benefit to others in golf.
