Women's 2026 Championships 

Rounds 1 & 2

Last Wednesday marked Round One of this year’s Women’s Club and Handicap Championships, played over three weeks, with some excellent early scoring across all grades.

Mixed Foursomes Qualifying

Last Sunday saw eight pairs contest the 2026 Mixed Foursomes Championships, with some excellent scoring on display.

The Net winners on the day were Barb Backhoy and Buddha Harkness, returning a superb 66.5 net.

Qualifying for next Sunday’s Final Round are:
• Barb Backhoy & Buddha Harkness – 77
• Rhona Cochrane & Michael Hanrahan – 87
• Marlene Cochrane & Albert Gigl – 89

Best of luck to all three pairs as they compete in the Final Round this coming Sunday.

Temporary 4th Green – Important Notice

Members are advised that while the temporary 4th green is in play, under no circumstances is a shot to be played from the GUR 4th green. If your ball comes to rest on the closed green, please lift your ball and take relief in accordance with staff instructions local rules.

We appreciate your cooperation while this work is underway and thank you for helping protect the new putting surface.

April 1st Renewals

Preparations are underway for the 1st April Membership Renewals. If you wish to change your membership category or resign your membership, please contact Renae at memberadmin@ranfurlie.com.au.

All requests must be made in writing, so email is the preferred method.

From April 1, some memberships may be subject to a 5% increase. This adjustment reflects rising operating costs and ensures the Club can continue to maintain course standards, facilities and service for our members. The increase is broadly aligned with CPI and forms part of the Boards ongoing commitment to balancing financial sustainability with member value. 

Updated Fee schedules will be communicated directly to members ahead of the renewal period.

Mixed Foursomes Entry - Closed

Members are reminded that entries for the Mixed Foursomes Championships are now closed.

The qualifying round will be held on Sunday 8th February, with midday tee times to be organized via a seeded draw once entries have closed.

Wednesday Women's Club & Handicap Championships

The first 3 Wednesdays of February will be host to the annual Women's Club & Handicap Championships.

The Championships will be played off two tees from 8:30am to 9:22am. As a result, there will be no early tee times available for Social golfers prior to the women on these dates.
