All Men's and Ladies Medalists from the 2019/2020 season up to March this year would have received notification and their tee times for the medal days in early July. On the day Monthly medal winners will receive their Medals and then play Stroke to compete against fellow medal winners for a $100 1st Prize medal of medalist trophy. Following the successful renovation of the right hand green side bunker on the 10th hole, the ground staff were busy today upgrading the bunkers on the right hand side of both the 16th and 18th greens.
The improvement to drainage system and re-surfacing will help alleviate the accumulation of water. It would also help if the big tap in the sky was turned off for a while!
It's important to note that to protect the playing surfaces, motorised carts have been removed from the course until the weekend. Fortunately the short term forecast looks a little drier. It's a shame we've received record rainfall in the lead up to Winter as we now need to cross fingers the next couple of months are favorable.
REVISED RANGE HOURS
Please note that due to the need for ongoing maintenance and and an increased need for manual ball the Range will remain closed until 11:00am on both Mondays and Wednesdays until further notice.

COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS EASED
From Monday June 22nd restrictions were eased a little more, including being able to order alcohol without having to order a main meal, however you must be seated in one of the designated areas. These include the Sports Bar, outside Alfresco area, Members Lounge & upstairs balcony.
There will be no alcohol served to the Driving Range or golf course.

This week we highlight Ranfurlie Manager, Andrew Weir, who has been with the club for almost two years.
Andrew's background is a PGA Golf Professional, having served as Head Professional at Kew Golf Club for 25 years, moving onto club Management roles for the past 5 years. His knowledge of Member based clubs has been a great advantage in his current role.
"The club is extremely busy at present after re-opening mid-May. The Range is the busiest we've ever seen and we continue to receive new applications for Membership which is a strong indication that golf at Ranfurlie is very good value. We're well placed to come out of this difficult period and look forward to the Spring / Summer period ahead".
TIMESHEET OPENING TIMES
Please note a change to the Sunday timesheet opening time as follows: Sunday timesheets will now open 9 days in advance (Friday) at 10:15am. All other days (Monday thru Saturday) will continue to open 8 days prior at 10:00am.
Recent issues with the opening of the Saturday timesheets have now been resolved. We apologise for the inconvenience and trust all will now go to plan from here on.
Guest Passes and Bay Golf Cards are now available for collection from the Pro Shop.
RULE OF WEEK - TEMPORARY WATER
Rule 16.1- This rule covers free relief that is allowed from interference by animal holes, ground under repair, immovable obstructions or temporary water. These are collectively called abnormal course conditions, but each has a separate definition. Relief is allowed when:
Your ball touches or is in or on an abnormal course condition.
An Abnormal course condition physically interferes with your area of intended stance or area of intended swing, or
Only when your ball is on the putting green, an abnormal course condition on or off the putting green intervenes on your line of play.
There is no relief from an abnormal course condition when it is out of bounds or your ball is in a penalty area.
Please Note: Members are reminded that if you play a great shot to a putting green, well done ! But be reminded that it is your sole responsibility to repair any pitch marks that you have caused from your accurate shot.
Amstel Club are delighted to announce that as of June 22nd #yournewlocal will be open for longer, with our Sports Bar opening from 9am. Offering Keno and TAB facilities. Come in and enjoy a drink and catch up with mates.
Our kitchen will be open from 11.30am through to 8.30pm each day so with many areas available for dining, we are looking forward to seeing you dine with us soon. We suggest that you book a table ahead of time with our team or via the quandoo app.
Our takeaway offering is also still available, so call past after a round of golf and pick up a parma, pasta or your favourite item and enjoy it at home.
We are delighted to let you know that since we have reopened our doors we have been inspected by the both the Police and the Casey Council Health Inspectors and have been given glowing reviews by both - in fact, we were told we had the best systems in place of all the venues in our area. We fully support these visits and welcome them into our club anytime day or night.
