Dear Member

Following the decision from the State Government to allow gatherings of up to 20 people outside we are finally able to return to two tee starts on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, commencing from Thursday June 4th. This will helps those wanting earlier tee times but at the same time we will be impacted by later sunrise times as we enter Winter so please be patient.

The opening time for the Sunday timesheets has been changed and will now open 9 days prior (Fridays) at 10:00am.

Bookings for Monday thru Saturday open online 8 days prior at 10:00am.
Bookings for Sundays will now open 9 days prior (Fridays), also at 10:00am.

There appears to have been a little frustration at the booking system of late but please understand it is set up in such a way to reduce the risk of the site crashing. The Lottery system is now in place which means you can click onto the relevant timesheet from up to 30 minutes prior to it opening. The registration will close 10 seconds prior to the timesheet opening to conduct the automatic draw. There's no advantage to logging in early, all Members go into the draw for a place in the queue.

I have it on good authority that yelling at the computer (or at staff) doesn't seem to help the situation. Please be patient and everyone will be able to book their game.

Subscription payments are due by May 31

If you're yet to pay your Membership subscriptions for 2020/21 you are reminded they are due and payable by Sunday May 31.

* To help the club our preference is for these to be paid in full, following which a credit equivalent to the period of course closure will automatically be applied to your Golf / House account late June.

Alternatively, we will also accept pro rata payment for subscriptions up to March 31, 2021.
* Please contact the Pro Shop who will advise your pro rata amount.
* Payments can be made at the Pro Shop in person by phone 9788 8288 or via EFT to Amstel GC Inc BSB: 193-879, ACC: 450 668 868. Please add your surname and Member Number as reference.
* This amount must be paid by May 31.
* If you're experiencing financial hardship the best option will be to convert to EziDebit monthly payments

Lifestyle Members (unpaid)
Lifestyle Members who were due to pay their renewal on March 31 will be required to pay the full 12 month fee and your expiry date will remain March 31, 2021. By way of compensation for the period of course closure Lifestyle Members will receive a pro rata credit to their Golf / House account late June, with expiry dates remaining unchanged.

If any Member remains unpaid at May 31 you will be deemed unfinancial and made inactive on our system. You will be made active again upon payment of fees or conversion to EziDebit monthly payments.

Q - What if I am happy not to receive the pro rata credit and donate that amount to the club?
A - Please email our Ranfurlie Manager, Andrew Weir at: aweir@ranfurlie.com.au to inform him you'd like to make the donation to the club.

Q - Instead of paying my Subscriptions in full and waiting for a credit, can I simply pay the pro rata amount up until March 31, 2021?
A - Yes. If you're unwilling or unable to make payment in full you may choose to pay pro rata to March 31, 2021. Please contact the Pro Shop who will advise your pro rata amount payable. This amount must be paid by May 31.

Q - What if I'm unable to make payment in full due to financial hardship?
A - If you're suffering financial hardship you may re-activate your Membership by converting to EziDebit (monthly payments). Application forms can be downloaded from the website or collected from the Pro Shop.

RETURNING FOR JUNE

MEDAL DAYS

Members will be pleased to know that Medal days will return from June, starting Tuesday 2nd June onward playing Stableford Medal off the Back Tees.

TWO TEE STARTS

Also from Thursday 4th June two tee starts will return on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. This should help alleviate some of the online booking angst.

2020 VETERANS KNOCKOUT MIDWEEK EVENT - ENTRY OUT THIS FRIDAY

This popular 55 and over match play competition will be open with an entry sheet from this Friday. A Draw will be created once the entry sheet closes on Friday 12th June at 4pm. All matches are to be organised between opponents and all matches to be played Midweek only. This event runs through the winter with the Final to be played no later than Friday 11th September.

RE-SCHEDULING OF APRIL / MAY EVENTS

One of the casualties of the pandemic lock down for Ranfurlie was that some important Board events were not played. As a result the following re-scheduling has been confirmed.

Ex Servicemen's Trophy scheduled for April will be rescheduled to 12th November, the Thursday after Remembrance day.

Medal of Medalist Event scheduled for May, includes Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday (HL Kaye Cup) and Sunday Men's and Women's. These events will now run from Tuesday 7th July through to the last dual event on Sunday 12th July with medalist from May 2019 though to March 2020 competing in a Stroke Format.

Ranfurlie Cup will now begin on Saturday 12th September with Semi Finals 19th September and the Final the 26th September given the AFL Grand Final will be held potentially in October.

Queens Birthday Bash Tournament has been cancelled for 2020. Monday 8th June will now be a Members Public Holiday competition.
