Ranfurlie Member Subscriptions Update

Dear Member

club image

We trust this email finds you well. Now that we have been given the green light to re-open the golf course, which is wonderful news for us all, we can finally start to get back to some sort of normality.

The good news is that the Driving Range will also be open from Wednesday morning.

As you can imagine there's been many things for us to do during the closure, not the least of which was preparing for the re-opening of the venue and resumption of play.

By now some of the timesheets are open and available for booking. Members can book either at the Pro Shop or via the online booking system. Details of this have already been circulated but if you have any questions please contact the Pro Shop staff.

We ask that everyone exercises some patience during this time.

It's fair to say that the coronavirus came at an awkward time in relation to our Membership renewals, leaving a number of Members uncertain about whether or not to pay their subscriptions. Now that the course is open again it's timely to provide some clarity for all Members.

The Board has made the generous decision to provide a credit equivalent to the period of closure. We are one of few clubs to offer this to Members.

For those who are yet to pay their subscriptions, the due date has been extended to May 31.

Please read the information below and should you have further queries, don't hesitate to make contact with Ranfurlie Manager, Andrew Weir.

Subscriptions Payments - If you've already paid in full
Members who have already paid in full will receive a credit equivalent to the period of course closure
* If we receive no communication from you this credit will be applied to your Golf / House account early July

By way of response, you may;
* Choose to forego the credit and donate the funds to the club, therefore no credit is applied or;
* Have the funds credited to your Subscription account. This credit may then be taken up against your 2021/22 subscriptions.

Unpaid subscriptions - For Members on Full Payment
Unpaid subscriptions are now due and payable by May 31.
* To help the club our preference is for these to be paid in full, following which a credit equivalent to the period of course closure will automatically be applied to your Golf / House account early July.

Alternatively, we will also accept pro rata payment for subscriptions up to March 31, 2021.
* Please contact the Pro Shop who will advise your pro rata amount.
* Payments can be made at the Pro Shop in person from Wednesday or by phone 9788 8288 or via EFT to Amstel GC Inc BSB: 193-879, ACC: 450 668 868. Please add your surname and Member Number as reference.
* This amount must be paid by May 31.
* If you're experiencing financial hardship the best option will be to convert to EziDebit monthly payments

Lifestyle Members (unpaid)
Lifestyle Members who were due to pay their renewal on March 31 will be required to pay the full 12 month fee and your expiry date will remain March 31, 2021. By way of compensation for the period of course closure, ALL Lifestyle Members will receive a pro rata credit to their Golf / House account early July, with expiry dates remaining unchanged.

If any Member remains unpaid at May 31 you will be deemed unfinancial and made inactive on our system. You will be made active again upon payment of fees or conversion to EziDebit monthly payments.

Members on monthly payments (EziDebit)
* Your next monthly payment will be processed on May 15th. Please ensure sufficient funds are available.
* You will be charged for the whole month's fee. A credit will then be applied to your Golf / House account equivalent to the two week closure for May. This credit will be applied early July.
* During the billing process in March, monthly payment amounts were pre-set for each month, hence the inability to charge a lesser fee and the need to apply a retrospective credit instead.

Membership Renewal Q & A

Q - If I'm yet to pay my subscriptions when must they be paid by?
A - The due date for subscriptions has been extended to May 31. Subscriptions must be paid by this date.

Q - What happens if I don't pay my subscriptions by May 31?
A - You will be made inactive on our Membership system and forfeit all Member privileges. To re-activate your Membership you will need to pay your outstanding subscriptions. Payments may be made to the Pro Shop 9788 8288 or via EFT to Amstel GC Inc BSB: 193-879, ACC: 450 668 868. Please add your surname and Member Number as reference.

Q - If I have already paid my subscriptions in full, will I receive a refund for the period the course was closed?
A - No. You will receive a pro rata credit for future redemption. As a default this will be applied as a credit towards your Golf / House account. If you wish to have this amount credited to your Subscriptions account instead, please email Ranfurlie Manager, Andrew Weir at:
aweir@ranfurlie.com.au to inform him this is your preference.

Q - Are other clubs in the area giving credits for the period of course closure?
A - Some but not all. Ranfurlie is one of the few clubs who have been generous enough to offer a full credit equivalent to the period of closure.

Q - What if I am happy not to receive the pro rata credit and donate that amount to the club?
A - Please email our Ranfurlie Manager, Andrew Weir at:
aweir@ranfurlie.com.au to inform him you'd like to make the donation to the club.

Q - Instead of paying my Subscriptions in full and waiting for a credit, can I simply pay the pro rata amount up until March 31, 2021?
A - Yes. If you're unwilling or unable to make payment in full you may choose to pay pro rata to March 31, 2021. Please contact the Pro Shop who will advise your pro rata amount payable. This amount must be paid by May 31.

Q - What if I'm unable to make payment in full due to financial hardship?
A - If you're suffering financial hardship you may re-activate your Membership by converting to EziDebit (monthly payments). Application forms can be downloaded from the website or collected from the Pro Shop.

Q - If I am already on EziDebit monthly payments what do I need to do?
A - Nothing. Your monthly payments will resume as normal once the course re-opens and your Membership will remain active.

Q - If the course opens mid-May and I'm on EziDebit will I be charged for the whole month of May?
A - Yes, however, a credit equivalent to the part of the month the course was closed will be applied to your Golf / House account. In other words, you won't be out of pocket. This credit will be applied early July.

Q - As a Lifestyle Member, do I receive a credit for the period of course closure?
A - Yes, all Lifestyle Members will receive a pro rata credit to their Golf / House account early July. Your expiry date will remain unchanged.

Q - My Lifestyle Membership was due for renewal March 31, can I pay just the pro rata amount up to March 31, 2021?
A - No, you'll be required to pay your full 12 month Lifestyle fee and you will then receive a pro rata credit to your Golf / House account early July. Your expiry date will then remain as March 31, 2021.

Q - If my Membership status is made inactive can I still access the Members log in to the website?
A - No. Payment will be required to re-activate your Membership.

If you have any queries regarding Membership subscriptions, please contact Ranfurlie Manager, Andrew Weir: aweir@ranfurlie.com.au
