VALE - Mr Jack Jackson - Life Member

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Life Member, Mr Jack Jackson.

Jack joined the club in the late 1950's, joining the Committee in 1970, serving as President from 1981 to 1986.

Jack was made a Life Member in 1990 in recognition of his significant contribution to the club.

Our sympathies to Jack's family, he will be sadly missed.

BUGGY/BATTERY HIBERNATION

With our buggies and batteries having some down time for the moment due to COVID19. We would like to advise the best way to keep you batteries charged and healthy with some words of advice from our friends at MGI.

IF I AM NOT USING MY BUGGY/ BATTERY WHAT SHOULD I DO?

If you will not be using the battery for more than a month, fully charge the unit, remove from charging & store in a warm, dry location. Attempt to use the battery every 1 - 3 months either by lending to a friend or family member for a round or removing the wheels & running the unit in a stationary position for half an hour. Place it back on charge till fully charged & store again.

I would also add not to leave your battery sitting on concrete, try to keep it off the ground on a stable base or a bench.

PLEASE NOTE: This procedure would also suffice for any Golf GPS Owners.
