CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)
Members, Guests and Staff health advice:

Following the Prime Minister's update this morning all facilities at Ranfurlie remain 'BUSINESS AS USUAL", including the Members Lounge, Sports Bar, Driving Range and Premium Rooms. We will continue to be abide by government advice and have formulated plans accordingly. These plans may change as new information comes to hand.

Golf courses and facilities are heavily trafficked, and there is a chance that during this episode, a member, guest or member of staff will be exposed to, or test positive to, COVID-19. Whilst you are welcome to continue to visit our club and facilities, if you consider that you are in a high-risk category or are in any way unwell, our advice is not to attend the club and to self-isolate until you deem otherwise.

Some key messages to minimize the risks are:
* Wash hands often with soap and running water, for at least 20 seconds. Dry with a disposable paper towel or hand dryer
* Try not to touch your nose or mouth
* Cover your nose and mouth when you cough and sneeze. If necessary, cough or sneeze into your upper sleeve or elbow.
* Avoid shaking hands with one another
* Observe social distancing practices of 1.5m separation

In addition, the following changes and recommendations are now in place:

* Timesheet bookings
- Touch screen kiosks have been turned off.
- These may be re-activated if suitable measures can be put in place.
- Bookings can be made in person at the Pro Shop or online at normal opening times.
* Competition entry and scorecard return
- Scorecards will be pre-printed / printed by staff to avoid contact with touch screens.
- Return of scorecards - Scanning of scorecards return of scorecards has ceased.
- Cards are to be left in a box by the scanner and will be manually processed by staff.
- Similarly, these may be re-activated if suitable measures can be put in place.

* Member Cards
- Please verbally inform staff of your Member Number to receive discounts & points
- Staff are instructed to avoid handling cards unnecessarily.
* Urn / Tea & Coffee Station has been removed to minimise the risk of cross contamination
* Cash - Limit the use of cash. 'Tap & go' wherever possible. Avoid dollar bets
* Hand Wash is available around the venue
* Cloth hand towels have been removed from Locker Rooms.
* Disposable paper hand towels are available for use
* Loose sunscreen, hair brushes, combs, deodorant and all other shared personal items have been removed from Locker Rooms
* Small pins have been removed from the practice putting green
* It is recommended you wear your golf glove when touching flag sticks and bunker rakes

POWER OUTAGE AT RANFURLIE

Members please note next Friday SP Ausnet have notified us that there will be a power outage at Ranfurlie from 8:30am until 3:00pm.

The Golf Course, Pro Shop, Sports Bar and Driving Range will be open as normal throughout the day with buckets of balls available for purchase manually from the Sports Bar.

Please note Menu items will not be available from the Sports Bar during the power outage.

PENNANT NEWS

Despite a successful start to the season for both our Men's and Women's Pennant teams we were informed late today that the 2020 Pennant Season has been cancelled. Both teams were sitting on two wins.

Golf Australia, in their communication to clubs reiterated their support for clubs to stay open and continue to allow Members and Guests to play golf and enjoy the outdoors activity.

GRADE CHANGES FOR SATURDAYS

Since the implementation of the World Handicap System (WHS) in January there has been an imbalance in the numbers of players competing in each grade particularly when we have competitions split into three grades. As a result Match Committee has made the following amendment effective April 1st. This will also be reflected in NTP competitions.

Three Grade Comps: A Grade: Scr-10, B Grade: 11-16, C Grade: 17-36

Two Grade competitions (smaller fields) on all other days will also be monitored over the next 6 months.
