CLUB, SENIOR and JUNIOR SCRATCH CHAMPIONSHIPS

The draw is now available online for the Championship Scratch events at Midday. Handicap Championships entry is on the day to all Full Saturday Memberships.

PLEASE NOTE: Lifestyle and Gold Provisional along with any guest can play the daily competition.

Rounds 1 & 2 of the Club, Handicap, Senior & Junior Championships are being played Saturday February 1st and Saturday February 8th, 2020 respectively. The Quarter and Semi Finals of the Club Championships will then be played on Saturday February 15th with the Final to be played over 36 holes on Saturday February 22nd.

Good luck to all competitors in this year's Club Championships.

TITLEIST FITTING DAY

TOMORROW 30th January on the Ranfurlie Range between 4pm and 7pm. Simply turn up on the night between these times, or you can book a 30min session with the fitter via the Ranfurlie Pro Shop 97888288.

RANFURLIE JUNIOR GOLF ACADEMY

Junior Clinics are run during the school term, covering all aspects of the game. The 45 minute clinics are a great and fun way to get kids started in the game.

We have some vacancies available for term One. These places fill up fast so please get in contact with Ben to secure your Juniors spot.

Starting dates: Tues 28th / Thurs 30th January and Sat 1st & Sun 2nd of February.

WORLD HANDICAP SYSTEM UPDATE

Implementation of the World Handicap System (WHS) is taking place this week and tomorrow will be the first competition to be handicapped after the changes. Members may notice a minor change to their Daily Handicap as a result.

In summary the changes will have little effect in Australia with the main points being:
1) A new 'soft cap' at 3 strokes, meaning it will be more difficult for your handicap to go out to the maximum of 5 strokes above your anchor.
2) Daily handicaps will now incorporate the difference between the Scratch Rating and the Par. In simple terms, this means that 36pts in Stableford will be the exact measure as to whether you've played to your handicap or not.
3) There will be an automatic additional reduction to a players GA handicap if the return an 'exceptional' score.

Entries for Amitee officially closed last week but if you're still keen to take part we'll still accept entries, but please be quick as we're now collating the information.
